First-hand experience

Helmut Knoll

Helmut Knoll has been employed by Hödlmayr as a trained forwarding agent for over 20 years.

“There were no apprenticeships at the time, but we were able to train very well through wifi courses.”

After 3 years of apprenticeship, Helmut was taken over in the customs department and was thus able to complete the customs declaration course.

Today, he is the head of the National Planning Department and has employees on his team who have already trained with him.

“It’s great to see former apprentices continuing their education within the company.”

Nina Perndl

Nina Perndl started her career at Hödlmayr with an apprenticeship as a forwarding agent. She first visited departments such as Vehicle Cleaning, Sales or Invoicing. In the 2nd year of her apprenticeship, Nina was already taken on in the national scheduling department. “I really liked it from the start, and since I had a great fit with my colleagues, I decided to stay there.” She could already imagine continuing in this profession in the future. After her apprenticeship, Nina was in the Spot department. There, she was able to prove her skills, which is why she was appointed by the then head of the Planning department as the main organizer for the Slovenian fleet.

“This was a great honor, as I was able to skip the junior scheduler position.

I also attended English and managerial classes.”

Two years ago, Nina was offered the group management in the international disposition, which she accepted with pleasure. “I always see huge potential for improvement and am confident that a lot will go ahead with our great team.”

Martin Steinkellner

Martin Steinkellner started his career with an apprenticeship at Hödlmayr. After a few years, he took over the management of Hödlmayr High & Heavy.

“I’m responsible for handling all the driving and I’m also the link between the team and the management - that’s 12 colleagues in the office and, of course, there’s still the team of drivers with around 120 trucks.”
