Hödlmayr relies on the three fundamental pillars of CO₂ reduction: AVOID - REDUCE - COMPENSATE to eliminate the medium to long-term footprint. Currently diesel consumption has an essential impact on the company’s CO₂ footprint. The fact is that alternative mass-suitable drive systems for trucks or even more available railway lines cannot be created overnight. That is why Hödlmayr also takes measures in the third pillar compensate, with regard to CO₂ reduction, and compensates where it makes sense.
A customer has turned to Hödlmayr to compensate for the CO₂ emissions for its transports in 2022. Therefore, a wind power project was initiated. Hödlmayr contributes to building a wind power project in Turkey with the investment via Gold Standard certificates which is the highest standard.
