The secret to his success, which earned him the title of Entrepreneur of the Year at the Hofburg in Vienna on Friday:
"I drove trucks, worked in the workshop and also as a dispatcher. I really learned the business from scratch," he says.
His thick skull and passion for working with people were other keys to success that helped build one of the largest automotive logistics networks in Europe.
From July 2024, his son, Johannes Alexander Hödlmayr, will take over as CEO. Johannes himself will remain on the Supervisory Board.
