The transaction includes the operational commercial vehicle business of Gartner KG, featuring an established customer portfolio, experienced drivers, and a specialized fleet primarily focused on heavy transport operations. In the future, the division will be integrated into Hödlmayr High & Heavy GmbH and will strategically and operationally complement the existing service portfolio.
Through the integration, Hödlmayr International expects significant synergies, particularly in the areas of transport organization, fleet management, and overhead structures. The objective is to secure existing customer relationships over the long term, increase process efficiency, and sustainably strengthen competitiveness in the European High & Heavy market.
“The acquisition of Gartner KG’s commercial vehicle division, signed today, represents an important step for our company. It enables us to strategically expand our offering and provide our customers with even more comprehensive and integrated logistics solutions in the High & Heavy sector,” says Johannes A. Hödlmayr, CEO of Hödlmayr International GmbH.
The transaction is also viewed positively by Gartner KG:
“We are convinced that the commercial vehicle division will be able to realize its full potential as part of Hödlmayr International and will be ideally positioned for the future,” emphasizes Christian Gartner, CEO of Gartner KG.
Going forward, Gartner KG will place an even stronger focus on its core refrigerated, curtain-side, and tanker transport business.
The completion of the transaction remains subject to the usual regulatory approvals and is expected by the end of summer 2026. The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial details of the acquisition.
