As a first step, Hödlmayr has taken over 20 new wagons from GATX. ‘The Laaers fleet from GATX Rail Europe makes an important contribution to our sustainability goal of doubling the share of rail transport by 2030. These wagons are designed for the efficient transport of a wide range of vehicles, including the heavier electric models,’ says Alexander Kolar, Managing Director of Hödlmayr Rail Logistics GmbH.
Hödlmayr currently has a total of 24 block train systems in use and transports 300,000 vehicles by rail every year - and the number is increasing.
