The shift of our fleet towards renewable energy and the extension of our rail transport are important pillars of our CO2-reduction measures. As part of our sustainability efforts, we have also identified photovoltaic systems as an additional opportunity.
Besides installing photovoltaic systems on the roofs of our buildings, we are utilizing carports as structural support.
Recently, construction work has started. Together with our joint-venture partner Electrify, we will:
- Build a 5.8 MWp photovoltaic system with around 10,000 solar panels on carports
- Cover approximately 1,600 parking spaces
- Save an estimated 3,170 tons of CO₂ emissions per year
- Supply renewable energy to around 2,250 households
The commissioning is scheduled for June 2026.
