Hödlmayr included in the 2018 CSR Year Book

Over time, the holistic sustainability concept, “Go Green – Go Hödlmayr”, has evolved into the company credo and has already been awarded the coveted Hermes Logistics Price in the sustainability category. Accordingly, inclusion in the latest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Year Book represents further confirmation that with regard to CSR, Hödlmayr numbers amongst the most active of Austria’s logistics services suppliers.

Particularly in view of the frequent use of the term sustainability, it is immensely important for a company to pursue a long-term and, above all, credible sustainability strategy. Inclusion in the CSR Year Book is a clear indication that Hödlmayr is on the right road in this connection. As CEO Johannes Hödlmayr stresses: “The assumption of social responsibility cannot be imposed, it must be inherent. Therefore, I am especially pleased that evidently our entire workforce have taken this concept to heart and constantly think about how we could improve it still further.”

Reducing the ecological footprint of the company to a minimum is one of the main priorities in Hödlmayr’s sustainability strategy. This target is to be reached through the holistic interplay of a diversity of precautionary measures. Amongst other steps, twelve block train systems, low-emission, state of the art trucks, the very latest telematics systems, as well as well-trained and highly aware drivers make a major contribution to a reduction in CO2 emissions of around 65,000 t/y.

Inclusion in the CSR Year Book involved an assessment on the basis of some fifty objective and comprehensible criteria of which of Austria’s 500 largest companies act in a responsible and sustainable manner. Standard prizes and certificates were also taken into account during this procedure.
