Connected mobility for intelligent urban planning
With their enormous traffic volumes, modern megacities urgently require intelligent mobility services. In a study regarding mobility in the year 2030, the business consultant, Roland Berger, outlines one possible solution in the form of robot taxis. These so-called “robocabs” could assume roughly thirty per cent of the mileage driven and thus reduce the share of private cars in the traffic volume within conurbations from 70 to 45 per cent.
