Within 50 years, the family business Hödlmayr developed into an international specialist in the field of the vehicle outbound logistics.
 1954: Company founding by Johann Hödlmayr, on what used to be his parents' farm, in Schwertberg (Upper Austria). Main activity: cattle transports and gravel exploitation.
 1961: Starting the vehicle transportation business with two automobile transporters. The young company employs nine workers, has over four platforms and three dump trucks.
 1974: Despite the first oil crisis, the company expands - 120 employees and 68 special vehicle transporters enlarged the business, which performed, among other things, transportations of new vehicles to Iran and Iraq, as well as to Saudi Arabia and Quatar.
 1980-1989: Hödlmayr diversifies its services to extended activities in the Pre Delivery service field and provides the first step to internationalization - purchase of the German forwarding agency Schmid, Rosenheim.
 1990-1995: - Purchase of the Belgian vehicle forwarding agency HN-Autotransport N.V. , Tongeren - Founding of the first East Europen subsidiary in Gyál / Budapest: Hödi Sped Kft. (in the mean time renamed Hödlmayr Hungária Logistics Kft, having its headquarters in Györ) - Start of an extensive services range - Releasing Agent in the Eurostar factory, Graz - Founding of a second subsidiary in the former Eastern block in the Czech Republic, Hödi a.s. (now Hödlmayr Logistics Czech Republic a.s., with the headquarters in Jenec / Prague.) - Acquisition of the forwarding agency Astra Garmisch-Partenkirchen and subsequent merger with Hödlmayr Rosenheim, thus resulting into Astra Hödlmayr Ltd., havings its location in Erbach, near Ulm.
 1996 - 2000: - Founding of the company CRL - Car Rail Logistics GmbH (joint venture between Hödlmayr Logistics GmbH Austria and Industriewaggon AG) and consequently the expansion of the transport services to high quality vehicle transport in closed wagons - Founding of the Hödlmayr Logistics Croatia d.o.o. in Karlovac - New structure of the Hödlmayr Group, which then became the group holding company Hödlmayr International AG - Partnership with the British logistics company AutoLogic Holdings Plc.
 2001-2003: - Strategic orientation of the Hödlmayr Group to the South European markets - Founding of Hoedlmayr-Lazar Romania in Pitesti - Start of Releasing Agent activities for Ford in Cologne as well as for Volvo, Mitsubishi and Smart in Born, Netherlands.

- Transport of commercial vehicles by train - Ship transports of the Dacia vehicles from Romania to the Ukraine - Further development and the realisation of projects of shifting transport from the street onto rails as well as onto the waterway - Founding of the new subsidiary in Kiev / Ukraine
