Apprentices



Hödlmayr Logistics GmbH in Schwertberg offers nearly unlimited possibilities even for young people. Because of the wide range of services offered (vehicle transport, paint-work, truck- and passenger vehicle services, administrative occupations...) it is possible to get active in different professions.


We train in the following skilled trades:

  • Office administrator
  • Forwarding administrator
  • Motor vehicle mechanic
  • Driver
  • Motor vehicle electrician
  • Paint worker
  • Coach builder


During their training our apprentices are supported with additional seminars like telephone communication, self-confident appearance, DISG personal development, language training, computer classes and communication training. Besides education in school, there are also training units, mainly in the area of the garage which should provide some assistance for the apprentices.

Students & graduates




  • Traineeships and degree dissertations


Every year – primarily during the summer months – students have the opportunity to get to know our company in the course of a traineeship. The traineeship can be carried out in Schwertberg or in one of our branches abroad. We place great importance on offering trainees an interesting field of activity and using the results of their work in our daily business processes.

Ambitious graduates are always welcome.If you are interested in writing your degree dissertation about Hödlmayr, please send a written application to our human resource department with a short description of your area of interest or your concrete suggestions for a degree dissertation title.

  • Trainee programme

HÖDLMAYR offers dedicated and career orientated graduates the possibility of entering professional life with a trainee programme.

The highest goal of the trainee programme for us is to create a pool of potential junior management employees for the whole group. As a trainee you are required both to get to know our operations and to participate in implementing our company strategy

Over a year and a half we will prepare you intensively for your role as a junior management employee, whether it is in Schwertberg or in one of our Eastern European branches. Our motto is „Learning by Doing“ and therefore during this time you are predominantly responsible for current projects which correspond to your interests and the focal point which is derived from this (e.g. controlling, sales, etc.). Additionally, you will get to know our company processes and sequences and will be given the best possible preparation for your future in our company through individual training. The trainee programme is rounded off by a several month stay abroad in one of our branches where you will be able to demonstrate your intercultural abilities.

The importance of our trainee programme is emphasised by the high demands on our candidates. If you have a degree (ideally in business management or logistics) and a strong international aspect and have business fluent German and English, then you are already bringing the best qualifications with you. A further (Eastern) language would be advantageous but not essential. Personally you should distinguish yourself with your analytical and solution orientated working style and count communication and assertiveness amongst your strengths.
